CHRISTUS St. Vincent is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Total Joint Reconstruction to join our elite, accredited Center of Excellence. This is a premier opportunity to step into a high-volume, employed position equipped with ROSA® Robotics and a 1-to-1 physician-to-AP support ratio. As a Total Joint Specialist at CHRISTUS St. Vincent, you will join a collegial, multidisciplinary team dedicated to evidence-based, patient-centered care. You will manage a robust surgical and clinical practice, focusing on hip and knee reconstruction while benefiting from a sophisticated referral network spanning seven counties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced joint reconstruction procedures utilizing state-of-the-art ROSA® robots.
- Manage a clinic volume of approximately 24–28 pre- and post-operative patients per day.
- Collaborate within an integrated team of board-certified surgeons and advanced practice clinicians.
- Utilize EPIC EMR for seamless documentation across all practice settings.
- Participate in the Total Joint Committee to maintain our status as a Center of Excellence.
- Mentor Family Medicine residents during their orthopedic rotations.
Position Details
- Location: Santa Fe, NM (CHRISTUS St. Vincent Orthopedic Clinic & Main Hospital Campus)
- Job Type: Full-Time, Employed (Less-than-full-time flexibility available via mutual agreement)
- Schedule: Multi-shift availability; Light phone-based practice call (no hospital visits required) shared among 18 providers.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Specialized training/focus in Total Joint Reconstruction.
- 2+ years of experience preferred; highly qualified new graduates will be considered.
- Ability to obtain a current and unrestricted New Mexico medical license.
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative, mission-driven mindset.
